Kenny Lee Evans

25 junio , 194217 julio , 2020

Kenny Lee Evans, 78, of Hot Springs, passed away peacefully July 17, 2020 at home with family by his side. He was preceded in death by his brothers Donald Evans and Douglas Harris.

Kenny is survived by his amazing and loving wife, Joan; his children Cristy Evans (Treon Rogers), Kami Russell (Bart), Autumn Beaulieu (Brent), and Jimmy Evans (Shawnee Titus); his siblings Jimmy Evans (Betsy), Suzzanne Brown (Charlie), Melinda Brondell (Rob), and Susan Sanders; his grandchildren Kandice Russell, and Brianna Russell; and his great grandson Camden Cornwall. Kenny’s laugh boomed, his Levi’s were faded, his cowboy boots were worn, his gun barrels were warm, his fishing line was wet, his Coors light was half gone and no one told a better story. Customers at the Wal-Mart sporting goods department will remember his beaming smile and expertise. His family will miss him dearly.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dierksen Hospice for their loving care.

Everytime we met as a family you were always welcoming we just picked up where we left off. Your smile lit a room from end to end. My sisters and I will miss our get togethers since we looked forward to each one. I know mom enjoyed each one as well and the love of the family memories. Wishing you peace and memories to hold in your heart and well catch you on the other side. Nadine, Roxane, Arlene, and Jean.

Thanks Kenny for showing us "young" guys how to do life! Your laugh and love for life, the outdoors and the people in it were contagious. You will be missed. I prayed for Christy, Joan and family today. See you on the other side.

Joan and Family, We're so sad to hear about Kenny. Our last memory was the day you and Kenny, Steve, and his wife came to visit us about two years ago. He shared some stories from his days at the Harrod & Burrough clinic which we enjoyed and got a lot of good laughs from. I had forgotten how funny he could be. Our love to all of you. Belva & Don

Our family reunions , in Vegas, won’t be the same without Ken. The two of us shared beers and stories that always filled the room with laughter! He will truly be missed.

Kenny was someone I looked up to growing up and hanging out as “Doc’s kid” then later as a teen working at Harrod, Burrough & Callicott Vet Clinic in the 70’s. His zest for life, his infectious Smile, his stories, his jokes and his soft yet stern way with even the most onerous dogs, cat, and even monkeys was admirable. I always thought if I could grow up and be as cool as Kenny then I would be happy.

Condolences to Mrs. Joan and the family.

Many of us try to walk to the beat of our own drum, but Kenny was one of the few people who did it well and I like to think completely. We worked together in the late ‘70s for the Harrod- Burroughs-Callicott Vet Clinic. So many Kenny stories to tell....most of them I can’t repeat. And all of them remembered with a smile. Goodby, good friend-until we meet again.

Thinking about Kenny reminds me of our annual vacations on Lake Hamilton.....especially when we stayed at the A-frame cottages on Paradise Point. Kenny was always welcoming, friendly, and funny. Although Kenny was more into fishing and hunting than Don, they shared the same story-telling ability and great sense of humor. I hope he is catching lots of fish in heaven.

It was a honor serving the Edwards Family during this difficult time. I helped take care of him with Dierksen Hospice and he was the best patient and always smiled even through difficult times. Condolences to Joan and all family and friends.
