

Larry Hugh Pickens was born January 1, 1936 on Chiquila Mountain near Russellville, Arkansas to Robert Earl Pickens and Amy Horn Pickens. He fell asleep in death on Wednesday January 27, 2021 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Larry is preceded in death by his Parents Robert Earl Pickens and Amy Horn Pickens and his first wife Helen Morales Pickens.
He is survived by his wife Teresa Dianne (Denham) Pickens, (the love of his life), two sisters, Penny Ballinger (J.C. Ballinger disceased) of Jacksonville, Florida and Paula Gray (Ron) of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, two nieces, Jaana Rhoden (John) and Tonya Agustin, three (3) great nieces and one (1) great nephew.
Larry served in the United States Air Force for 10 years. Afterwards, he became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was baptized on December 10, 1966 and had been a faithful servant of his God Jehovah till his death. His hope is to be brought back to life in a new world here on earth where there will be no sickness, sorrow, pain or death. (Revelation 21:4).
He met Dianne in 2005 and they were married October 22, 2005. They had 15 wonderful years of adventure. Their greatest joy came from serving their God Jehovah together.
Larry was known for his dry sense of humor and he was loved by everyone. The family would like to express their appreciation to everyone for their prayers and all the flowers, food, kindness and encouragement received through texts and phone calls.
The family also expresses their gratitude to all the caregivers at CHI St Vincent ICU who took care of him.
