Linda Alice Lewis

Linda Alice Lewis, 85, of Dumas AR, peacefully departed this life and entered Heavens Gates on January 9, 2025, at her sister (Sherron) and brother in law’s (Rudy) home in Royal, AR after several months of illness.

Linda was born August 6, 1939, in Smackover, AR. Linda was the oldest daughter of the late O.L. and Frances Odell. Her parents and beloved husband Dr. Jim Lewis, and her sister Glenda (Odell) House preceded her in death.

Linda was a graduate of El Dorado High School in El Dorado, AR. She attended Harding University in Searcy, AR and Southern State University in Magnolia, AR.

Linda later attended secretarial school in Memphis, TN where her husband Dr Jim Lewis attended Optometry School. Jim opened Lewis Vision Center in Dumas, AR, where Linda worked as his office manager until he closed his business and retired. Before Jim’s retirement, Linda opened her own business, Ashley’s Treasures U-Haul and had it opened until July 2024.

Linda was a member of the Church of Christ.

The family of Mrs. Linda would like to thank Dr. Maxwell and all his staff for taking care of Linda for many years. We would also like to thank the staff at Lake Hamilton Rehab for their help with Linda the past few months. In addition, we would like to thank Hospice Home Care of Hot Springs for all your care and kindness the past week during her failing health.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
