

Louise Nipper Cain, born October 30, 1925, in Longview, TX to the late Birl A. and Nellie (Taylor) Nipper. She moved to Arkansas when she was 3 months old and at the age of 4, moved to Camden where she grew up. She graduated from Camden High School in 1943 and attended Henderson State Teachers College and graduated in 1947.
Louise met J.W. “Killer” Cain at Henderson, where he had enrolled after serving in Europe during World War II. They were married on August 23, 1947.
While her husband was employed in paint sales, they lived in Baton Rouge, Shreveport, and Malvern, AR before moving to Hot Springs in 1960. She worked for Arkadelphia High School for a time and at their paint store in Malvern as a bookkeeper and in sales, but she was mainly a homemaker.
She was predeceased by her husband J.W. Cain, one sister Salene (Nipper) Carpenter, daughter-in-law Anna Sue Cain, and son-in-law David Todd Ballentine.
She is survived by two sons, Rev. Steven J. Cain of Texarkana, TX and Charles M. (Sissy) Cain of Jonesboro, AR; three daughters, Linda S. Holmes, Ellen J.(Kevin) Byrd; and Leslie Ballentine (Bill) Kerst all of Hot Springs; one brother Ernest R.(Rosemary) Nipper of Hot Springs; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three nieces and one nephew.
Services will be Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 11:00am at First United Methodist Church.
