

Marjorie (Barta) Czernial, 88, of Hot Springs, AR. passed away at her home with her family by her side on Friday October10, 2014. Marge was born January 17, 1926 at Chelsea, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin, after 50 years of marriage; her sister, Audrey Baker and brothers, Richard and Bob Barta and parents, Sylvia & Andrew Barta.
She is survived by sisters, Rita Reinke & husband Bud; Nancy & husband Don Peardot and 1 brother, William “Alton” & wife Jan Barta; 8 children, 20 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
On July 4, 1946, she married Alvin Czerniak and raised 8 children, 4 boys and 4 girls who are; Mary Bunn & husband, Irv of Norfolk, VA., Cindy George & husband, John of Slater, MO., Larry Czerniak & wife, Greta of Hurley, WI., Kathy Danley & husband, Gene of Hot Springs, AR., Jim Czerniak of Ironwood, MI., Bob Czerniak & wife, Sandy of Hurley, WI., Gene Czerniak & wife, Beverly of Tampa, FL. and Judeen Adams & husband, Barry of Pearcy, AR.
She worked as a ship welder in 1944-46 in Sturgeon Bay, WI. during WWII and was a phone operator in Milwaukee, WI. Marge was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and friend, also a musician in the Czerniak family band, owner of Club El Rancho in Pine Lake, WI., Member of Oma Lionettes and she worked at the Simpson Glove Factory in Pence, WI. In 1982 they moved to Hot Springs, AR. where she worked at Wal-Mart #261 from 1982 to 1998.
After retiring, she volunteered at Mid America Museum, she was a charter member of the Widowed Persons Service, Levi Hospice volunteer and a member of The Wiser Bunch and a parishioner of St. John’s Catholic Church.
A memorial Mass will be held on Monday October 13, 2014 at St. John’s Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans or St. John’s Catholic Church.
Cremation is under the direction of Gross Funeral Home.
