

Marjorie lived in Chicago as a young adult. In 1986 she and Al made the retirement move to Hot Springs. She loved to travel the world and especially loved being outdoors. Some of her most memorable trips included Spain, Portugal, Italy, Mexico, and Yellowstone. You could find her camping, swimming, and tending to her garden most days. She was known as an excellent cook and loved to can and preserve her vegetables.
Marjorie adored her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend to many.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, and three sisters.
Cherishing her memory are her husband of 74 years, Alfred Strakshus; her children, Gary (Gay) and Gayle Y. Strakshus.
Visitation will be on Thursday July 7th, 2022 from 2:00 until 6:00 PM in the chapel of Gross Funeral Home.
Graveside Funeral service will be held at 10:30 Friday morning at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
