It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Rachel Eleanor Logan Grant, a gentle soul who left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Rachel, 86, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Born with a quiet grace, Rachel was a devoted mother to her five children and a cherished grandmother. Her fierce love for her family was evident in everything she did, from her amazing cooking, to her nurturing presence in all of their lives.
Rachel’s beauty shone brightly, both inside and out. She had a special bond with her father and treasured her relationships with her loved ones. A passionate gardener, Rachel found joy in tending to her garden and her vibrant yard, especially in the spring when nature bloomed anew.
A proud graduate of Garland County Community College, Rachel earned her nursing degree and dedicated herself to a rewarding career in healthcare. She attended Oakwood Academy where she met the love of her life, Walter Grant II, with whom she shared a deep and abiding love and started a family with.
As a faithful member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Rachel lived her life with a servant's heart, always putting others before herself. Her kind spirit and selflessness will be greatly missed.
Rachael is preceded in death by her husband; Walter William Grant II, children; Walter William Grant III, Vastoria Elaine Grant-Massey, Alphonso Walter Grant, and Valarie Yolanda Grant-Arrington, her parents; Alphonso Logan, Eleanor Jones Rector, and Dorothy Logan, her sisters; Virginia Angeline Scott, and Sybil Logan Buford, and grandchild; Walter William Grant IV.
