Red worked in sales and as an assistant manager at Nunn Bush Shoes in Little Rock from 1972 to 1974, when he was employed by J.T. Lloyd Company. He was a purchasing agent for sporting goods there until 1983, when he went to work for Gene Lockwood’s SportsMart in Little Rock. In 1985 he became the manager of the Hot Springs branch.
Red is survived by his wife of 32 years, Yvonne; his brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Teresa Tuggle of Benton; sister Judy Pettit of Benton; sister and brother-in-law Sandra and David Summers of Roundrock, Texas; brother-in-law Alan Pennington and sister-in-law Leona Guthrie of Salem, Oregon; nephews Josh Tuggle of Benton, Emmett Pennington-Guthrie and Aaron Pennington-Guthrie of Salem Oregon; nieces Alicia Tuggle of Little Rock, and Courtney Summers, Kristen Summers and Stephanie Summers of Roundrock, Texas; and other relatives.
Red also leaves a huge hole in the lives of many, many friends. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
