Rhonda Kaye Anderson

Rhonda Anderson passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, August 15, 2024. She was born January 11, 1966 to Don and Gwendolyn (Gwen) Bardwell. Rhonda was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister.

Rhonda accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptised at Center Fork Missionary Baptist Church in Hot Springs, AR and a current member of Hot Springs Baptist Church.

Rhonda was a 1984 graduate of Lake Hamilton High School and graduated from Henderson State University in 1988. She was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority and was a White Rose of the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. She took pride in her work as a recreational therapist at Baptist Rehab in Little Rock and Levi Rehabilitation Hospital in Hot Springs. She worked as a long time substitute teacher at Lake Hamilton Jr High and served as the elementary secretary at the Mountain Pine School District.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Father in law Paul Dean Anderson, aunts; Joyce Sheffield, Phyllis (Jackie) Ferguson, and Mary Clutts, uncles; Richard Jr, Frankie (Donna) Woolard, and Tommy Woolard, cousins; Carol Sheffield, Linda Woolard, and Sandra Woolard.

Survivors include her loving husband of 33 years and love her life Steve Anderson, her son the “light” of her life Cameron and loving daughter in law Brittnie Anderson and grand dog Tilly, brother and sister in law Rodney and Tamra Bardwell, nephew John Thomas Bardwell (Abby McMahan), Cousins Robert Ferguson (Cissy) and Ronnie Sheffield (Tami), Aunt and Uncle Jim and Dimitria Yarbrough, niece Penny Young and nephew James Yarbrough (Heather), Mother in law Jo Anderson, Sister in law Angie Bednar (Barry), niece Hailey Gambill (Kyle), nephew Brae Bednar, Brother in law Mark Anderson (Jacqueline), nephew Hunter Anderson (Paxton), and niece Hannah Sheesley (Jackson), and a large host of loving extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 9:30 until 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 20, 2024 in the sanctuary of Hot Springs Baptist Church.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Hot Springs Baptist Church with Revs. Manley Beasley and Mike Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery near Glenwood.

Pallbearers include: Tiger Jordan, Duddy Aitken, Ronnie Sheffield, Robert Ferguson, Mike Tucker, Jordan Roper.

Honorary Pallbearers include: Hunter Anderson, Brae Bednar, John Thomas Bardwell, Joe Scott Anderson, Larry Joe Anderson, Marie Anderson, Teresa Rose, Hayley and Katelyn Ferguson, Nathan Sheffield, and Derek Sheffield.

Memorial Donations can be made to Kamo Kids Foundation, the Bryce Briggs Foundation, and the Adam Brown Legacy Foundation.
