Raised in Tomah, Wisconsin, Bob was an entrepreneur. He and his wife, Mary Anne, owned a number of
restaurants throughout their marriage and were known most for the A&W, Fiedler’s Family Restaurant, and Burger Depot in Jefferson, Wisconsin. They moved to Hot Springs Village in 1996 where they had income properties and a storage unit business. Bob fully retired when he was 79.
Bob loved to spend time with his family. His Christian faith was especially important to him. He was a cradle to the grave practicing Roman Catholic with a special devotion to Saint Padre Pio and our Blessed Mother Mary. He was also a strong pro-life advocate as it was most dear to his heart. He was a kind and generous man who touched so many people’s lives. He loved to give people a hard time. In fact, the harder the time he gave you, the more it meant he liked you. Bob loved to go to the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas with his wife during the winter time where they have a mobile home. His favorite things to do there were to attend country music shows and jams, craft fairs and cross into Progresso, Mexico. One of the highlights in his later years was a Pilgrimage he took with his wife to Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City. He also loved to attend daily mass and enjoyed breakfast out afterwards with friends, traveling in his RV, taking their dog Mickey ‘on a run’ in his golf cart and curbing his sweet tooth with Bluebell vanilla ice cream.
Bob will be fondly remembered for his everlasting love for his family and friends, especially his amazing wife of 54 years, Mary Anne. Bob is survived by his other loves of his life, his daughter Victoria (Fiedler) Manke and her husband Andy and their children Sarah (Cam), Stephen and Emma. Son Christopher. Son Andrew and his wife Courtney and their children Grace and Faith. Daughter Stephanie (Fiedler) Ross and her husband John and children Flynn and Fletcher.
He is predeceased by his parents Charles and Ann Fiedler and brother George. He is survived by his loving sister, Jane (Bill) Wojta and brothers Jim (Donna) and Greg (Sue), as well as his sister-in-law and
brother-in-law Joanne and Guy Bertelsen, all of their family members and cousins.
