Rodney “Rod” D. Catlett Sr., 58, of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 21. He was born in Hot Springs to his parents, Talmadge and Ruth Catlett. He worked for Entergy for 30 years. He had a great sense of humor with enjoying a good practical joke every now and then. He enjoyed camping, woodworking, Hollis House, and spending time with his family and friends the most.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Stevie; and his fur buddy, Baxter.
He is survived by his mother; wife, Nell-Ann; sons, Rodney (Rose) Jr., Chad (Erica); daughter, Kimberly; sister Tammy (Mark) Rash; in-laws, Jimmy and Nell Garibay; sister-in-laws, Tamara (Mark) Greenwood, Deena (Tony) May; brother-in-law, Jimbo (Tammy) Garibay; numerous nieces and nephews; and his fur babies, Gracie and Annie.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Cones Road Missionary Baptist Church, on Wednesday, Feb 25, at 12 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are under the care of Gross Funeral Home.
