Stephen Phillip Zelnick, age 45, passed away on June 8, 2025, in Bismarck, Arkansas. Born on June 26, 1979, Stephen was known for his loving and compassionate nature and his clever and dry sense of humor, often able to deliver quick-witted quips that brought smiles to those fortunate enough to know him.
Stephen honorably served in the United States Army, dedicating himself to the principles of duty, honor, and service. His time in the military reflected his deep commitment to protecting others and serving a cause greater than himself.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Leah Zelnick; his daughters, Anna (Cordell) Andrews and Henley Zelnick, who were the light of his life; his father, Richard (Virginia) Zelnick; and his siblings, Ernest (Michelle) Zelnick, Jennifer Boyd, and Michelle (Phillip) Godwin. Stephen was preceded in death by his son, Jessee Zelnick, his mother, Buffy Zelnick, his brother, Christopher Zelnick, and his brother-in-law Bob Boyd.
Stephen’s life was a testament to the quiet strength, love, and care he offered so generously. He will be deeply missed by his family, including nieces, nephews, grandsons, many friends, and all whose lives were touched by his warmth, loyalty, and generosity of spirit.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 21st, at 1 pm. at Bismarck First Methodist Church and the Celebration of Life will follow at 2 pm to honor Stephen. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in Stephen’s memory or contributions to a veterans’ organization of your choice.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear.
