It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tamara Long, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and nurse. Tamara, whose love for her family was boundless and unwavering, left this world on February 25, 2025. Her life was a testament to selflessness, kindness, and an unshakable faith in God.
Tamara was a devoted wife to her husband, Josh, whom she adored and often called the best cook on the planet. She loved nothing more than enjoying the meals he lovingly prepared and spending quality time with her family. Together, they raised three wonderful children—Jack, Chloe, and Zoe—who were the center of her world. She was a fierce protector, guiding them with love, grace, and an open heart.
As a mother, Tamara's love was relentless, and she poured everything into her children. She was an incredible role model—always showing them the importance of kindness, compassion, and perseverance. Her home was filled with laughter, joy, and warmth, and she created a nurturing environment where all felt welcome.
Tamara was not just a mother and wife, she was also a dedicated and passionate nurse. She obtained her bachelor's degree in nursing from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, AR, and was a graduate of Calvary Christian Academy in Benton, AR. As a nurse, she touched countless lives, guiding her colleagues with wisdom and leading with integrity. She believed in lifting others up, always helping them grow and become better in their craft. Bold and fearless, Tamara never shied away from speaking the truth, even when it was difficult, always choosing honesty and integrity above all.
A lover of the outdoors, Tamara felt closest to God when surrounded by nature. Whether hiking through the woods or simply enjoying the tranquility of the great outdoors, she found peace in the beauty of creation. Her deep spiritual connection with her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she lived each day secure in her beliefs.
Christmas was Tamara's favorite time of year, a time for giving, family, and cherished moments in pajamas. She reveled in the joy of gift-giving and the warmth of being together. She also looked forward to the summer months, especially family reunions that created lifelong memories with those she loved most.
Tamara was an incredibly strong woman, one whose life was filled with mercy, grace, and, above all, love. God broke the mold when He created her, and her impact on the lives of those around her will never be forgotten. Her courage, her heart, and her spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
