He was born March 26, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late E. Clorine & W.W. (Bud) Freeman. He was a Lieutenant in the US Navy in the Combat Information Center aboard the USS Constellation. He was a great Patriot and never failed to fly the flag! Tom was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity at SMU and a member of First United Methodist Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his best friend and loving wife, Angie; his son John and his wife, Wells; Uncles Charles Freeman and Thomas Hardcastle; sister-in-law Rachel Beatty as well as his lifetime friends Gardner Cannon and Ned Cheever. He also leaves behind many very special cousins whom he always looked forward to seeing at family reunions. He also cherished his neighbors, the Green’s, the Maloy’s and the Weber-Margraves. He also missed his favorite dog, Bentley.
Another of his loves was his boat, the “DipShip”. You could count on Tom, the flag on the boat, and John Phillip Sousa on the radio for the 4th of July.
Tom loved his family, boat, neighbors, friends, US Navy and his canine companion, but not necessarily in that order.
A gathering for family and friends will be 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with a memorial service beginning at 3:00 pm, on Thursday, at Gross Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Jim Freeman officiating.
Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
