Tommie Leigh Dobbins, lovingly known to so many as “Tumbleweed,” passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, at the age of 55. Born on May 27, 1970, in Malvern, Arkansas, Tommie lived life boldly, joyfully, and completely on her own terms.
Tommie was the kind of woman you never forgot. She had a beautiful smile that could light up a room and a laugh that was impossible not to join in on. She was fearless in every sense of the word — always ready for an adventure, a joke, or a little harmless ornery behavior that kept everyone around her smiling. She loved deeply, laughed loudly, and lived fully.
She found her greatest joy in the simple things: fishing, camping under the stars, and spending every possible moment outdoors. Summer was her favorite season, and the Fourth of July brought her endless happiness. Fireworks, family gatherings, and warm summer nights were where she felt alive.
Tommie was also known for her love of puzzle games, especially Candy Crush, where she could spend hours determined to beat just one more level. In the kitchen, she showed her love through cooking. Her banana pudding and chicken and dumplings were family favorites, and no meal ever felt complete without her beloved cottage cheese or a slice of apple pie nearby.
Above all else, Tommie loved her family fiercely. One cherished memory her family will forever hold close is how she would quietly sneak into her son’s house just to lovingly do his laundry — a small but perfect example of the caring love she gave so freely. She was a proud mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Tommy Humphrey and Patricia Howerton; her siblings, Ricky DeLaRosa and Patricia Humphrey; and her beloved children, Stormy Humphrey and Jonna Hathcoat.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her step-father, George Wilson; her siblings, Larry Crites (Donna), Tracey Humphrey, Arthur Wilson (Rita) and Wendy Wilson; her children, Courtney Parker (Josh), Kevin Dobbins (Carissa), and Emma Harigel (Nathan); her treasured grandchildren, Rainie Nutt, Chloe Hathcoat, Adalynn Harigel, Raelynn Harigel, and Brodie Horner; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends whom she loved dearly.
Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort knowing that Tommie Leigh is finally at peace, reunited with loved ones gone before her. Her laughter, love, fearless spirit, and unforgettable presence will live on in all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Gross Funeral Home on Monday 18, 2026, at 6:00 PM.
