

Adolph accepted Christ at an early age and later in life joined the Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church, where he was baptized under the leadership of Pastor Allen Randle until his demise.
Adolph was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, will have honors performed at Verdunville Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church from 9:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be the Verdunville Cemetery. Officiating, Pastor Allen Randle.
Adolph was a 1967 graduate of Park Avenue High School and was well known in his community for all sports. After high school he joined the US Marine Corps, where he served until he was wounded in the Vietnam War. As a result of his service, he earned several metals including the Purple Heart. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Marine never left him, as friends and family will attest. His hobbies was fishing, hunting, sofa lounging while watching television, being messy and getting on people's nerves. His life's inquiry was to find out what would be done if he'd only slap somebody. He was a lovable person, and if you ever met his you know that you didn't meet a stranger.
Adolph leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Dione Matthews Parker; his children, Lori Ann (John) Boyd of Franklin, La., Adolph (Karen) Parker, Jr., of Houston, TX; Nathaniel (Eva) Parker of Houma, LA., Derrick (Tanika) Parker of New Iberia, La., Rosalyn Parker of Houma, La., Twanda (Terrance) Clay of Gibson, La., Tee J (Carol) Parker of Jeanerette, La.,21 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, a sister, Pastor Mary L. Stanbury of Verdunville, La., two brothers, Charles (Lisa) Parker and Timothy (Annie) Parker both of Verdunville, LA; godchildren, Gilbert Austin, Jr., Wayne Stansbury, Sr., Troy Butler, a brother-in-law, Bishop Gilbert Austin, Sr., Son-n-law, Deon Johnson of Kileen, Tx. With his union in 2022 he gained his in laws, Deacon Leroy and Sis. Diane Maze, eight step children, Mayoka, Ronald, Rondel, Rondrell, Larayh, Deontay, Rontaje and Deontray; 30 step grandchildren, 2 brothers-in-laws, Lt. Sheldon Matthews and Eddie Matthew; five sisters-in-laws, Zenobia Ledaey, Kanyan Delhi, Clara Matthew, Keaire Maze and Shonner Griffin.
Adolph was preceded in death by his parents, John and Tempie Parker, a son, Adolph Jerome Parker, a daughter, Carolyn (Tootie) Johnson, two brothers, John “JP” Parker and Steve Parker, two sisters, May Ethel Fine and Rosie Marie Austin.
