Allen Staidum, 81, a native and resident of Houma died Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 7:54 am at his residence. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time at Greater St. Matthews Baptist Church. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in New Rising Sun Baptist Cemetery. He leaves to cherish his memories: three sons, Allen P., Jr., Frederick C. (Janice), and Carlton Stadium, Sr.(Sherry); four daughters, Geraund Lawson (Isaiah), Marilyn Stadium, Gwendolyn Joseph (Leslie, Sr.), and Angela Miles (Walter, Jr.);one step-sister, Gail Morrison; twenty-one grandchildren; and twelve grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Gauche-Staidum; son, Jason Staidum; parents, Rufus and Zenobia C. Staidum; two brothers, Thomas R. Staidum and Rudolph LeBlanc; and one sister, Lillie S.
