A public viewing will be conducted from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Jones Funeral Home chapel, 230 S Hollywood Road in Houma. Burial will follow in the Young Ladies Benevolent Society Cemetery in Raceland, LA.
She is survived by her sons, Derrick, Travis, Cornell and Lance Smith (Brandi); six grandchildren; brothers, Evans, Jr., Leoanrd, Herman, Earl (Chandra) and Sylvester Smith (Donna Ann); sisters, Gustavia Richardson, Hattie Coleman (Ernest, Geraldine Jones, Vera Hodges (Thomas), Sandra and Patricia Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Evans, Sr. and Dorothy Celestine Smith; brothers, Robert, Sr. and Jerry Lee Smith; sisters, Dorothy Mae Smith and Emily W. Lee; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Hattie Smith; maternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Jane Thomas Celestine.
