Bishop Edward Thomas, Jr.

Visitation will be observed 0n Saturday December 4, 2021 from 12 Noon until funeral services at 1:00 PM at the Church of God of Prophecy in Patterson, LA. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing.) Burial will follow funeral services in the Morgan City Cemetery.

Memories of Bishop Thomas will forever remain in the hearts of his wife, Rosalie Thomas of Biloxi, MS; children, Wesley James (Kendra) Thomas of Morgan City, LA; Gena (Martin, Jr.) Thomas-Ross of Baton Rouge, LA; daughter-in-law, Maranda P. Thomas of Houma, LA; one brother, Lloyd Scoby; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Bishop Thomas was preceded in death by his sons, Quentin Dion Thomas and Drexel Joseph Thomas; parents, Edward Thomas, Sr. and Elmira Dangerfield Thomas and his siblings, Evelina Thomas and Sam Scoby; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George Calvin Rener and Rosetta Singleton Rener.
