Brenda Marie Sanders Talbert

A walk-through visitation will be conducted from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Jones Funeral Home chapel, 230 S. Hollywood Road in Houma.  (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing with the recommendation of signing the registry book, viewing and exiting). A private service will be held. Services will be accessible by viewing the Jones Funeral Home, Inc. Facebook Pages at 10:00 A. M. on Saturday February 27, 2021. Brenda will be laid to rest in the St. Mark Church Cemetery in Labadieville, LA.

Memories of Brenda will forever remain in the hearts of her children, Tammi L. Talbert, Shawn Talbert (Andrea), Wendell Talbert (Nakeshia), Vernon Sanders (Tasha), Valerie T. Dorsey (Frank); brother, Donald Sanders; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Talbert; her parents, Colie and Ruth Sanders; brothers Colie Sanders, Jr. and Michael “Spuggie” Sanders; sisters, Linda Marie Sanders (her twin sister), Linda Ruth Sanders, Fay Matunda, and Cynthia Sanders.

Brenda retired from the State of Louisiana Department of Social Services after 35 years of service. She served in the Beacon Light Baptist Church of Houma Heart of Compassion Ministry.
