Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Moses Baptist Church located at 1032 Canal Blvd in Thibodaux, LA. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Rachelle Janae Mead (Josh); brothers, Melvin T. Mead, Jr. (Lily) and Nathan D. Mead (Sonya) sisters, Donna Johnson (Tomey), Marilyn Willoughby, Marvel A. Mead, Lydia Thomas, Josie Mead and Yvonne Mead; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin, Sr. and Josephine Sawyer Mead; brothers, Arthur Carey and Tyrone Sawyer; grandparents, Thomas Mead, Sr., Vanilla Cole Mead and Amy Mack.
