

Visitation will be observed on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 8:00 A.M. until military honors beginning at 10:00 A.M, with The East St. Mary Veteran Squad. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 A.M. at the Railroad Avenue Church of Christ 1105 Railroad Avenue Morgan City, LA, with Brother Gary Jones, officiating the services. Burial will follow funeral services in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Precious memories of Charles or ”Jake,” as he was known, will forever remain in the hearts of: his son, Charles Victor Jones and his daughter-in-law Rhonda Gray Jones of Morgan City, LA; one step- son, Robert L. Jacko; one brother, Clarence Jones, Sr.; one sister, Geraldine Jones-Morse both of Morgan City, LA; one grandson, Jaylon Anthony Goodwin of Vinton, LA; two step-grandchildren, Trent Anthony Madise of Morgan City, LA and Rhonisha Adeline Patton of Lafayette, LA and five great-grandchildren. He also helped to raise a niece, Mary Jones and a nephew, Titus Jones; three god-children, Lloyd Jones, Sandra Jones and Joan Denise Wilson and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and dear friends.
Charles Sr. was preceded in death by: his parents, Bernie Jones, Sr. and Rosalie Johnson Jones; two brothers, Bernie Jones, Jr and Herbert Jones, Sr.; three sisters, Roberta Jones Brown, Myrtle “Mert” Jones and Edwina Jones; two brothers-in-law, Eddie Lee Brown, Sr. and Howard Morse, Sr.; three sisters-in-laws, Irma Jean Jones, Elizabeth Jones and Mary Louise Jones and one-step great grandson, Tre’von Isaiah Madise.
