Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27, at Jones Funeral Home chapel located at 6775 West Park Ave. in Houma, LA. Visitation will resume at 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, at Dularge Community Baptist Church, 524 Andrew St. in Houma. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
He is survived by his former wife Cynthia Newman; sons Charles E. Johnson, Jamal A. Hall and Avante' Mason; daughters, Ashanta and Sametra Hall, Jasmine, Kayla and Jessica Johnson, Karisma Celestine, Amira and Alayla Mason; three grandchildren; brothers, Lamon Simmons, Donald Nixon and Dennis Baker; sisters, Danielle Nixon, Denise Baker and Amanda Moses (Javon); and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. Hall, Sr. and Betty Stewart; and foster parents, Joyce Ellzey (Dennis Baker).
