Cheryll Mitchell Calloway

Cheryl Calloway, age 56, a native of Houma and resident of Lafayette, died Monday, April 2, 2012 at Heart Hospital of Lafayette in Lafayette, LA. Visitation will be Saturday, April 7, 2012 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 1830 Prospect Blvd., Houma, La., from 10:00 AM until service at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in the Southdown Cemetery in Houma, La. Cheryll has been a faithful servant of Jehovah God and been an encouragement to her friends and family since she dedicated her life in 1969. She was deeply loved and cherished by her family. Cheryll leaves to cherish her memories; her husband, Johnny J. Calloway, three daughters, Mrs. Shawn (Dana McPherson) Gradney, Mrs. Wilton (Crystal McPherson) Demouchet, Jr., and Deidre McPherson all of Lafayette, La; one sister, Mrs. Gilbert (Angie Mitchell) Parker of Houma, La; two brothers, Kirk A. (Pamela) Mitchell of Houma, La., and Marvin E. (Michelle) Mitchell of Baton Rouge, La. Cheryll was a loving grandmother to four grandchildren: Dylan, Chloe, Cole and Blake of Lafayette, La., and a host of relatives and many friends. Cheryll was preceded in death by her parents; Earl and Phyllis Sims Mitchell, a brother, Carlos G. Mitchell, her grandparents, Felix Sims, Sr., and Levorn Wallis Sims, Hayes and Zenobia White Mitchell.
