Cory is survived by his wife; Adrienne Matthews, his sons; Malcolm Johnson of Alaska, Corey B. Johnson of California, Ja’Corree Matthews of Arizona, Malachi Matthews and Lauraine Matthews both of Georgia, one daughter, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a host of relatives and friends.
Cory is preceded in death by his parents; Thomas Matthews, Jr., and Carolyn Matthews Simmons; one sister; Torilyn Matthews, one brother; Christian Matthews; one nephew; Marcus Stoves, one aunt; Delores M. Smith, maternal grandparents; John and Daisy Brown Adams, Sr. and paternal grandparents; Thomas Matthews, Sr. and Emma B. Matthews.
