My prayers are continuously with the family. I loved Mrs. Cyn and she was always in my chair giving God all the glory as I would do her hair. I will miss you and  rest easy in the arms of the Lord.

So sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. May each tear that falls be a gentle reminder that you and your mom meant so much to each other, and that no loss or sorrow, time or distance can ever take that.  We ordered a memorial tree in memory of Cynthia.  Thinking of you with sympathy, with love, and with prayers.

My condolences to Zenobia, Laketa, and family for your loss of Aunt Cynthia. I have only fond memories of her as a loving aunt. She certainly enriched my childhood when I spent summers in Morgan City with her with my siblings. Those were some of the best memories ever, fun with cousins in the “Coal Shute”. Everyday, we’d go home to some of the tastiest meals ever. Aunt Cynthia was an excellent cook. So many fond memories of Aunt Cynthia. She will be missed. I pray that she’s resting in peace with her Mom, Dad, Siblings, and all the ancestors.

Praying for her daughter's. Laketa and Zenobia. They were very close to their mother. She was a sweet lady and she raised so sweet woman. Love you guys and I'm praying for y'all strength.

A sad day, the passing of Cynthia Blackwell Maze. An Angel has gone home one of prettiest, the sweetest and the nicest persons you would ever want to meet. We called her Cynt at Sumpter Williams HI School. And I also remember her from what we called junior church at Mt. Pilgrim B. C. Under Ms. Florence Baptise. Always a smile always a good word for everything.  I also remember  where her mama sat at Mt. Pilgrim. Cynthia Blackwell was a friend to everyone. My condolences to her family, she will be sadly missed.

I will miss her beautiful smile and her calling me beautiful every time that she saw me. Y’all have our deepest condolences and I will pray for God to continue wrap his loving arms around you guys.

R.I.P. my home girl. we grew up together as close friends and i will always remember the times we had growing up. you will be missed and thought about.

I had the pleasure of being a part of Ms. Cynthia’s care team during her stay at Ochsner’s in January 2023. I had just started as a CNA and I remember Ms. Cynthia telling me how much she loved all of us and how grateful she was for how hard we worked. I remember being very touched by her sweet words and humbled spirit. Her daughter Zenobia (Mrs. Z) has been a CNA for over 30 years, so Ms. Cynthia knew first hand how important our job is, and she was never without gratitude. She always made me feel loved. She was so full of love.

Her more frequent stay at Ochsner’s was completely different than when I first met her. I knew she was in bad shape, but I was praying for a miracle. I’m thankful that I was able to have a moment with her to say goodbye. My shift had ended, and I had left for the day. When I returned to work this morning, I immediately asked about Ms. Cynthia, and they had informed me that she had passed the night before. I was devastated, but I’m also glad to know that she’s not suffering anymore.
