Helen Elizabeth Boyd-Welch, age 79, a native and a resident of Franklin, LA., died Monday, August 4, 2014 at 6:18 AM at Franklin Foundation Hospital. Visitation will be Saturday, August 9, 2014 at The Crossing Place in Franklin, La., from 9:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Perpetual Park Cemetery in Franklin, La. Helen leaves to cherish her memories; four sons, Henderson Welch, Jr., of Seattle, Washington, Larry Gene (Suzette) Welch and John (Lori Ann) Boyd both of Franklin, La., and Steven (Kimberly) Boyd of New Iberia, La; five daughters, Mary Beth (Henry) Whitehead, Stephanie Ann (Northern) Gibson and Susan Boyd all of Franklin, La., Julie Boyd of McComb, Miss., and Andrea Boyd (Larry Martin)of Jeanerette, La; and a sister, Albertine Washington of Franklin, La; and a host of relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Deborah Boyd, three brothers and a sister.
