Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17 at New Vision Christian Community Church located at 1949 Hwy 182 in Raceland. Burial will follow in Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Craig and Jerome Hampton; daughters, Demetria Bryant (Donald) and Vanessa Robertson (Felton); twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers, Bruce Hampton, Lloyd Hampton (Nichelle); and Marvin Hampton (Linda); sisters, Eula Dicks, Lucille Hampton, Elsie Poindexter (Isiah), Louise Poindexter (Curtis, Sr.), Linda Young, Bernadine Howard, Doris Verrett (Matthew, Jr.).
Preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Verrett Hampton; daughter, Carla Jean Hampton; parents, Fredrick and Viola Ellis Hampton; godchild, Wanda Marie Robinson; and companion, Barbara Farlough.
