Horace James Kelly, Jr.

Visitation will be observed on Saturday September 4, 2021 at the New Zorah Baptist Church 604 Julia Street Morgan City, LA, from 12 Noon until funeral services at 2:00 PM. The Reverend Terry L. Joseph, Sr. will officiate the services. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing.)

Many wonderful memories of Horace, Jr., will forever remain in the hearts of his devoted wife of forty-nine years, Julia Ann Jack Kelly of Morgan City, LA; children, Marcelle Hoskins ( Anthony) of Morgan City, LA, Jamie Brown (Rita) of Spencer, OK, Quindell Mitchell of Verdunville, LA, LaShonda Kelly (Kevin) of Baton Rouge, LA, Kelly Knight Sr. and Michelle Knight both of Morgan City, LA and Sharice Gibson of Baldwin, LA; siblings, Charlie Kelly (Theresa), James Kelly(Rosalie), Billy Kelly, Charles Ray Kelly, Donald Kelly, Rachel Tatmon, Ella Guice, Janice Sly, and Donna Kelly; two godchildren, Everette Jack of Ville Platte, LA and Lasheldra Dyer of Marksville, LA; twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

Horace Jr., was preceded in death by his parents, Horace James Kelly Sr. & Virgie T. Kelly; two daughters: Artie Braud and LaWanda Kelly; siblings, George Kelly, Jimmy Kelly, Leona Fox and Verna Mae Thomas and both his maternal and paternal grandparents, and a host of uncles and aunts.
