Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until funeral time at the church. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Beulah Baptist Church located at 5544 North Bayou Black Drive in Gibson, LA 70356 with Pastor Norman Edmonds Sr officiating. Burial will follow in Mt Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is survived by: three daughters, Janisha and Jaelynn Russell and Alexiyan Vanburen; his devoted mother, Lois Diggs Russell and companion, Milton Theriot; two brothers, Jason and John Russell Jr; two sisters, Gailynn (Damon) Reed and Shanta (Armond) Johnson: and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his father, John Russell Sr.; paternal grandparents, Isaac Smith, Sydney Johnson and Dorothy Russell Smith; and maternal grandparents, Herbert and Elnora Nash Diggs.
