A memorial service will be observed on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Jones Funeral Home 230 S. Hollywood Rd., Houma, LA 70360.
He is survived by his wife; Sherry Ann Newell Martin (Mickey). Sons; Joe N. Martin, Jr.; (Tammy), Antonio E. Martin (Claudia); Christopher M. Martin; Byron W. Martin (Mary Jane) and Jonthan D. Hewitt. Daughters; Sharon Martin (Travelyn), Tanya Martin (Landry Watkins), Terri Diggs Joseph (Steve) and Melissa A. Tillman (Lamairr). Sisters; Gladys Simmons (Joseph); Alice Taylor (Clarence); Joyce Martin and Emma Martin; sixteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis C. Martin, Sr. and Adele Clemmons Martin. Brothers; Ellis Charles Martin, Jr., Daniel Martin and sister, Zellie Martin Wallis, seven sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law.
