Larry James Thomas, Sr.

A public viewing will be conducted from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Jones Funeral Home 1101 Main Street Franklin, LA. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing). A private service will be held with the family’s invited guest only. Larry Sr.'s brother, Minister Wynord Thomas, Sr., will officiate the services. Services will be accessible by viewing the Jones Funeral Home, Inc. Facebook Page at 11:00 A. M. on Saturday February 6, 2021. Larry Sr. will be laid to rest in the Nazarene Church Cemetery with Full Military Honors. 

Larry Sr., was a veteran of the United States Army, receiving an honorable discharge. 

Memories of Larry Sr., will forever remain in the hearts of his wife, Jo Ann Madison Thomas of Franklin, LA; his children, Latoija ( Frank) Garner, Brandy Thomas, and  Larry James (Chaquitha) Thomas, Jr. all of Humble, TX and Angel Collins of Houston, TX; two stepsons, Dwight (Gigi) Vincent of Waldorf, MD and and Ramsey Vincent of Temple Hills, MD; four brothers; Roland Thomas, Raymond Thomas, Isiah (Lisa) Thomas, and Wynord Thomas, Sr. (Regina), all of Franklin, LA; one sister, Helen (Jeff) Carson, of Baldwin, LA, seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Larry Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, Isiah Thomas, Jr. and Nelwyn Darby Thomas; a sister, Annie Mae Thomas Knight and a brother, Sidney James "S. J." Thomas, Sr.
