Lawrence Hamilton, age 66, a resident of Patterson, La., died Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 5:25 PM at Kindred Hospital in New Orleans, La. The visitation will be at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Morgan City on Monday, March 8, 2010 from 10:00 AM until the funeral at 1:00 PM. The interment will be at Patterson Memorial Cemetery. Lawrence was survived by his wife, Rutha M. Hamilton of Patterson, La.; three sons, Ellis Gaskins of Morgan City, La.; Peter Gaskins of Richmond, Va., and Eric Gaskins of Berwick, La.; six daughters, Paulette Lewis of Patterson, La., Tina Ross of San Antonia, Tx.; Diana Gaskins of Tallahasse, Fl., Thais Johnson of Conyer, Ga., Tonya O'Prien of Snellville, Ga., and Tremaine Tweh of Deluth, Ga.; a sister, Lisa Dorsey of Des Allemands, 21 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Rev. Ron Bias will officiating the service.
