Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at St. Luke Baptist Church, 106 Union Street in Houma with burial in St. Luke Baptist Cemetery in Waterproof.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Smith Ray; sons, Nicholas Ray, Leroy Ray (Roxanne) and Gerard Ray (Michelle); daughters, Donna M. Ray and Celia M. Ray; eighteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; brother, Jessie Ray (Martha); sister, Carol D. Ray; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his children, Gertie R. Brooks and Dexter B. Ray; parents, Thomas, Sr. and Celia Wagner Ray; brothers, Arthur, Ronald, Thomas, Jr. and Donald Ray, Sr.; sisters, Evelyn Williams and Bertha R. Thierry.
