Visitation and funeral services will be observed on Friday, July 8, 2022, from 8:00AM until funeral time at 10:00AM at Jones Funeral Home 230 S. Hollywood Rd., Houma, LA 70360. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing.) Burial will follow at St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery in Napoleonville, LA. 

Memories of Lucille will forever remain in the heart of her mother, Florida Mae Nicholas of Thibodaux, LA. Life Partner, Douglas J. Jones of Gray, LA.  Son, Herbert Thomas, Jr. (Heather) of Thibodaux, LA and daughter, Nikita Thomas Gilton (Bradrick) of Thibodaux, LA. Brothers, Melvin Nicholas, Jr., (Latisha) of Las Vegas, NV, Al Kenny Nicholas (Shonda) of O'Fallon, IL and Albert Nicholas (Jackie) of Birmingham, AL. Sisters, Loretta Woods (Leroy) of Napoleonville, LA, Lorraine Nicholas of Thibodaux, LA and six grandchildren. 

Lucille was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Nicholas, Sr., and husband, Herbert Thomas, Sr. Brother, Arthur Nicholas.
