Merrit Mingo, age 54, a resident of Morgan City and a native of Lafayette, LA, died Monday, December 28, 2009 at 5:00 PM at his residence. Visitations will be at Ephesian Baptist Church, Saturday, January 2, 2010 from 9:00 AM until funeral at 11:00 AM. Burial in Morgan City Cemetery. Merrit is survived by; his finace'; Joanna Wallace of Morgan City, step-son; Jeremy Blackburn of Baton Rouge, LA, a daughter; Erica Blackburn of Morgan City, four stepdaughters; Cherime Blackburn, Tikiwia Wallace, Ya'Kendra Wallace & Precious Wallace all of Morgan City, four brothers; Leo Mingo, Russell Mingo, Mike Mingo and Larry Mingo all of Morgan City, LA, and a host of relatives and friends.
