Ora Lee Smith

Ora Lee Smith, age 62, a resident of Amelia, died Monday, May 17th, at Teche Regional Medical Center at 11:30 PM. The visitation will be held at Union Bethel AME Church, 956 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, La., from 10:00 AM until funeral at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Ora is survived by her children, Monie Clark, Rutherford Jones, Lillian""Lisa"" Diggs, Shantell McPherson, Cheryl Singleton, Nakithe Singleton, Jessica Singleton and Jovian Clark all of Amelia, U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Clarence Jones of Killeen, Tx., Calvin Singleton and Jason Matthews both Morgan City, Michelle Singleton of Berwick and Michael Singleton of Houma. She also is survived by four sisters, Irma Stewart of Baton Rouge, Emma Matthews of Amelia, Lillie Thibodeaux and Mary Jones both of Morgan City, two brothers, Leroy Jones of Amelia and Ernest ""Peanut"" Jones, Jr. of Morgan City, a aunt, Doretha Trimm of Morgan City, two very special friends, 19 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandparents, four brothers, two sisters and a nephew
