Peter Jones

Visitation will be observed from 8:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Saturday May 30, 2015 at the Our Lady of the Rosary Church 11200 Old Jeanerette Rd, Jeanerette, LA 70544, with a rosary being recited at 10:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Dismas Mauk, SVD serving as the Celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Cherished and divine memories will forever be remembered by his loving and devoted wife of 41 years, Ida T. Jones of Jeanerette; two children whom he was very proud of Melissa A. Jones-Mabry (Walter) of Killeen, TX and Anthony L. Jones of Jeanerette, LA; one brother, Wilbert Jones, Jr. of St. Louis, MO; five sisters, Dora Charles, Juanita Jones, Catherine Jones, Cheryl Jones and Marilyn Jones all of Jeanerette, LA; the Jeanerette "Back of Town Boys & Crew"; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and several other relatives and friends.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents Wilbert Sr. and Dorothy Campbell Jones, grandparents Jim and Jane Grant Campbell,  four sisters  Jane, Annette,Janelle and Carrie Jones, ; five brothers: Roy Allen, Anthony, Lester, Barry and Buddy Jones;  two sister-in-laws: Mable Jones and Joyce Jones; four aunts: Mable and Elmer Campbell, Maude Snow, and Alice Gaines; two uncles Horace McNeil and Albert Grant; one great aunt Alice Stills and one nephew Marcus Jones
