Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10 at New Zion Baptist Church, 263 Grand Caillou Road in Houma. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
He is survived by his devoted companion, Nancy C. Howard; sons, Anthony (Tracy) Stewart, Ray Jackson, Jr. and Joshua Jackson; daughters, Jada M. Stewart and Shatoya W. (Kenneth) Jasper; seven grandchildren; brothers, Roy (Ann Marie) Jackson; and the Rev. Terryl (Julhelene) Jackson; sisters, Marvalis Diane (Ernest) Hall, Vanester J. Lagarde and Berryl J. (Patrick) Merrill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Southern, Jr. and Daisy Grant-Jackson; sister, Gail J. Williams; grandparents, Southern, Sr. and Pinky Jackson, McKinley Grant, Sr. and Rose Navarre- Nixon (Ambrose, Sr.).
