

Reginald was united in Holy Matrimony to Ms. Deborah Ann Volter Garner on December 17, 1977.
He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized on August 19, 1981, at St. Luke by Rev. Frank Singleton. He was called to eternal peace in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 19, 2026.
He was very skilled and talented, working with and learning the trade of plumbing under his father for many years, until venturing out on his own as “Dr. Blue Piper.”
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Angel Turner Harris (Kendell), Natasha Snipes (Christopher), Nikita Deloach (David), and Joshua Garner; grandchildren, A’Donte, Kenyelle, Kendall, Ariel, Sonya, Christian, and Grayson; one great-grandson, Kaison Harris; brothers, Donnie Garner (Yolanda) and Christopher Garner; sister, Rachel Picou; ex-wife and caregiver, Deborah Garner; nieces and nephews, Melvin Picou, Mary Gatlin (Detra), Chrishauna Mart, Maya, Gerard Garner (Summer), Donovan Garner (Malacia), Robert Garner (Elonah), Marcus Picou (Raquel), Cory Garner, Ziahlya Garner, and Zhane Garner; uncle, Sydney Smith; aunts, Marion Garner Haynes and Chester-Mary Crockette; along with a host of additional great-nieces, great-nephews, other family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vera Mae Galmore; father, Richard Garner, Sr.; daughter, Faith Garner; brothers, Richard Garner, Jr. and Ronald Garner; and niece, Rolanda Garner.
After a life marked by perseverance and endurance, he now rests in peace, as it is written:
“For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” – II Timothy 4:6
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 9, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home, 230 S. Hollywood Road, Houma, Louisiana.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Deweyville Cemetery.
