

Visitation will be observed on Friday October 25, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home 1101 Main Street Franklin, LA. Viewing will resume at 9:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church 11200 Old Jeanerette Rd. Jeanerette, LA, until the recitation of the rosary at 10:00 A.M, with tributes immediately following the rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A..M. with Father Francis Damoah, SVD serving as the Celebrant. Burial will follow mass services in the St. Jules Catholic Church Cemetery in Franklin, LA.
He leaves his Precious Memories behind to: his four children, Ray Thomas of Plano, TX, Alicia (Darryl) Hardiman of Houston, TX, Joseph (Stephanie) Thomas, Jr., of Cleveland, OH and Josiette (Damion) Pickens of Beaumont, TX; other children he helped to rear, Monique Thomas of Baton Rouge, LA and Ne'Andre (Karyn) Thomas of Kileen, TX; one brother, Clifford (Doris Thomas; six sisters, Mary Jane (Charles) Julien, Veronica Carbin, Mary C.T. Gray, Mary Hill, Mary Eileen (E.J.) Cormier and Betty Jean (James) Moore; sisters-in-law, Ida Mae Johnson, Maggie Thomas, Stella (Roosevelt) Freeman and Ydell Johnson Washington; brothers-in-law, Andrew (Leona), Johnnie (Bertha), Ivory (Linda) and George; fourteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including his caretakers, Gerald Mitchell, Rafael Fontenot, Riley Mitchell and Lou Pearl and a family son, Carmelo Negron.
