Rose Washington Stewart, age 65, a native of Patterson and a resident of Baldwin, died Tuesday, June 15th at 7:29 PM at Iberia General Hospital. Visitation will be Saturday, June 26th, at Jones Funeral Home in Franklin from 9:00 AM until funeral at 11:00 AM. Interment in the St. Helen Cemetery in Florence, La. Rose leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Oscar Stewart, Sr of Baldwin; three daughters, Katherine (Adam) Caesar of Charenton, Monica Renee Stewart (Federal Jones) and Stella Rae Stewart (Alex Arceneaux) both of Baldwin; two sons, Oscar John Stewart, Jr. and Leonard William Stewart both of Baldwin; three sisters, Rosa Lee Washington Poleder of Glenco, Debra Dasin of Houston and Meshonda Dasin Leon of New Iberia; three bothers, Edward Washington, Sr. of Baldwin, Leonard Washington of Houston, Tx., and Calvin Washington of Lafayette; eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, four godchildren, and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Washington, Sr., her mother, Josephine Metz Washington, five sisters, Betty Washington, Linda Brown, Mary Dell Brown, Barbara Dasin and Brenda Dasin and a brother, David Lee Washington, Sr.
