Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Janaury 25, 2019 at New St Matthews Baptist Church, 3966 Hwy 311 in Houma. Burial will follow in Southdown Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Zamir, Zarius and Stephon Lance Byrd, II.; daughter, Jazzmine R. Byrd; six grandchildren; mother, Leola Westbrook McGuire; brothers, Ronald McGuire (Karen), Barry McGuire (Anissa) and Larry McGuire; sisters, Brenda Marshall, Carrie Theriot, Mary Byrd, Alma and Wilma McGuire; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephon Byrd; father, Eugene McGuire, Sr.; brothers, Eugene, Jr. and Floyd McGuire; maternal grandparents, William, Sr. and Carrie Hite Westbrook; paternal grandparents, Olivia McGuire and Johnny Robinson.
