Sylvester "Uncle Bep" Ruffin

Sylvester ""Uncle Bep"" Ruffin, age 78, a native and resident of Morgan City died Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 5:20 AM at Terrebonne General Medical Center. Visitation will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Morgan City, La., Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 9:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Morgan City Mausoleum. THE EAST ST. MARY VETERAN FUNERAL SQUAD WILL PERFORM AT GRAVESIDE. Sylvester ""UNCLE BEP"" leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Lillie Mae Williams-Ruffin of Morgan City, La; four sons, Sylvester Louis Ruffin, Wendell N. Ruffin and Curtis L. Ruffin all of Austin, TX., and Charles E. Ruffin of Niceville, FL; two daughters, Carolyn L. Kimble-Wilder of Austin, TX., and Olanda M. Gray of Lafayette, La., and the mother of his children, Helen Eluid of Austin, TX; three sisters, Louise Ruffin Madise and Lillian Ruffin Randle both of Morgan City, La., and Irene Ruffin-Louis of Port Arthur, TX; eight grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Sylvester was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Nathan Ruffin and Eva Dorsey Ruffin, three brothers, Arthur Ruffin, Joseph Nathan Ruffin and Roussell Ruffin; three sisters, Barbara Ann Ruffin-Welsh, Josephine Ruffin and Evelyn Ruffin-Wilson.
