Abel Ruiz

Con profundo pesar, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Abel Ruiz, quien falleció pacíficamente el 17 de marzo de 2025 a la edad de 78 años. Abel nació en Guanajuato, México el 1ro de febrero de 1947 y fue un residente de Houston por más de 40 años.

Abel deja atrás a su esposa, Martha Ruiz, sus hijos, Miguel Ruiz (Eunice Ruiz), Amadita Rodriguez (Martin Rodriguez), Olga Morris (Clifton Morris) y Leticia Guzman (sobrina de nacimiento - hija de corazón). Nietos: Alexandra, Gabriela, Rebecca, y Julieta Ruiz, Martin, y Emma Rodriguez, y Jacob, Matthew, y Charli Morris. También deja atrás dos hermanos (Ruben y Manuel), 4 hermanas (Angelina, Guadalupe, Rosa, y Margarita), una familia extendida muy grande y muchos amigos y vecinos que lo querían mucho. Más que nada y a su manera, Abel quería mucho a su familia y siempre estaba listo para ayudar a los que necesitaban ayuda.

La vida de Abel no fue fácil, pero con mucho sacrificio y determinación él y su esposa construyeron un hogar, criaron una familia y vivieron una buena vida.

Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo en Brookside Funeral Home & Memorial Park el 28 de marzo. La visita será de 12-2 con un rosario empezando a la 1:30. La misa empezará a las 2:30 y el servicio en el cementerio será a las 3:30.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Abel Ruiz, who passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025, at the age of 78. Abel was born in Guanajuato, Mexico, on February 1, 1947, and was a Houston resident for over 40 years.

Abel is survived by his wife, Martha Ruiz, his children, Miguel Ruiz (Eunice Ruiz), Amadita Rodriguez (Martin Rodriguez), Olga Morris (Clifton Morris), and Leticia Guzman (niece by birth - daughter by heart). Grandchildren: Alexandra, Gabriela, Rebecca, and Julieta Ruiz; Martin and Emma Rodriguez; and Jacob, Matthew, and Charli Morris. He also leaves behind two brothers (Ruben and Manuel), four sisters (Angelina, Guadalupe, Rosa, and Margarita), a very large extended family, and many friends and neighbors who loved him dearly. More than anything, and in his own way, Abel loved his family and was always ready to help those in need.

Abel's life was not easy, but with much sacrifice and determination, he and his wife built a home, raised a family, and lived a good life.

Funeral services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home & Memorial Park on March 28. Visitation will be from 12-2 with a rosary beginning at 1:30. Mass will begin at 2:30, and the graveside service will be at 3:30.
