Abigail Marie Torres : Sept. 5, 2015. - Oct. 6, 2015. Abigail Marie Torres was swiftly taken from this world into the loving arms of Jesus on October 6th. In the 31 days of beautiful life, she was able to testify of her love of Jesus through her parents, family, friends and all whom she touched. She was due on November 23rd, but born on September 5th, and was considered a micro-preemie at 1 lb. 3 oz. at birth. Our little Baby Girl fought the good fight all 31 days. She truly showed all who were aware of her miracle birth that anything is possible in Christ Jesus. It's by knowing how hard she fought that validates our belief that "God makes great things in very small packages.”
Abby spent her whole worldly existence in the Children's Memorial Herman N.I.C.U. in ( Elephant B ) where her warrior-like struggle did not go unnoticed. Our family gets great comfort by knowing that soon after meeting Jesus , He Gracefully handed her off to her fraternal Grandmother. Mary "Nena" Torres (2014). We also get more comfort in knowing that Nena's only grandchild or great-grand child, that she never met on earth was the first of 19 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren to meet her " On streets of Gold " in heaven. Soon after the meeting, we are sure that Nena was helping her grow with a healthy diet of tamales, tortillas, Mexican rice and Chicken mole. Yummy! She exclaimed.
Abby is survived by her loving parents Leslie and Fabian E. Torres, big sisters Addison Marie, Audrey Marian and big brother, Caleb George Torres. Abby also leaves behind, 1 great grandparent, 3 grandparents, 3 uncles, 7 aunts, and 23 cousins. She was preceded in death by her uncle, Gregory E. Torres (1969) and her grandmother, Mary "Nena" Torres ( 2014).
