As a brother-in-law, he was not only family but also a great friend and a constant source of support and kindness. His ability to bring people together and make everyone feel welcome was something truly special. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and friendship.
Tragically, Abraham passed away unexpectedly following surgery for kidney stones. The suddenness of his loss has been incredibly hard on our family, and we are still trying to come to terms with it.
Abraham loved the Houston Astros and enjoyed going to games with friends. He loved being around people, visiting local bars with friends, and making new friendships wherever he went. Even with limited mobility, many in the community recognized him proudly traveling the streets in his motorized wheelchair, often stopping to talk and laugh with friends at the park. His presence was known and cherished by so many.
He is survived by his mother, Antonia Arteaga; his father, Jose L. Arteaga; his sister, Gloria M. Garcia; his brother-in-law, Gustavo Garcia; and his nephews, Christopher Garcia, Danielle Garcia, Andrew J. Garcia, and Julian G. Garcia.
