

Addie Frances Ellis Trahan was born March 19, 1932 in Bryan Texas. She spent her life in Freeport, Texas and Houston, Texas. She graduated from Our Mother of Mercy Catholic school and Massey Business College.
Years ago the Jack Yates vs Phyllis Wheatley football game was the apex of social life in Houston. She was sitting in the stands and observed a man very flirtatiously winking his eye at her. She said that he winked so hard that his lashes almost fell off. That man Ben Trahan became her husband. They were married for more than 60 years!!
Some of the notable places she worked was Homestead Bank that later transitioned to North Houston Bank. She was a Customer Service Representative. She also worked for HISD for a number of years as a Teachers Aide. She worked at John F. Kennedy Elementary on Cross timbers and Rusk Elementary on the East side. She loved working with Elementary School aged children.
She had 3 children Eric Trahan, Dereck Trahan and Jacqueline Trahan. She had 6 grandchildren Erica Trahan, Jared Trahan, Taylor Trahan, Joshua Trahan, Jeremiah Trahan and Jonathan Trahan. She had 4 great-grandchildren BreAnna Mitchell, Jayson and Jayla Prejean (twins) and Niaomi Trahan.
The most important aspect of her life was her undying uncompromising love for Jesus Christ. Her favorite book of the bible was the Psalms. She found rest and peace in the book of Psalms.
A visitation for Addie will be held Monday, May 2, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Paradise Funeral Home, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A funeral service will occur Monday, May 2, 2022 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A committal service will occur Monday, May 2, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 4:15 PM at Golden Gate Cemetery, 8400 Hirsh, Houston, TX 77016.
