Adeline Andrea Ferguson

At 91 years of age, Adeline “Addie” Ferguson passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday, April 13, 2026. She was surrounded by the love and comfort of her family at home in Missouri City, Texas.

Addie was born on November 10, 1934 in Pasadena, California, to the late Benito and Cenovia Hernandez. She graduated from Berkeley College and went on to become a surgical nurse at Parks Air Force Base. It was there that she met and married the love of her life, O.V. Ferguson, Jr., lovingly known as “Mike” or “Fergie,” as she affectionately called him.

Together, they built a life in the Houston area, where they raised their family and created a home filled with faith, love, and devotion.

Addie was a devoted parishioner of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. She was deeply involved in her community and dedicated many years to a sorority focused on fundraising to provide wheelchairs for those in need.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benito and Cenovia Hernandez; her brother, Danny Hernandez; and her children, Stephanie Ferguson-Warren and Michael Ferguson.

She is survived by her loving children: Valerie Ferguson; Marybeth Salas and her husband, Armando; Robert Ferguson; and April Silva.

Her legacy lives on through her nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family members, friends, and loved ones whose lives she touched over the years.

Addie will be remembered for her kindness, strength, faith, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished. She made the best potato salad as well as chicken enchiladas.

Visitation will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, US, on April 24, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will take place at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, US, on April 25, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A Graveside Service will follow at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, US, on April 25, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
