Aiden Lee Gilbert was born on August 4, 2004, to Michelle (Spencer) and Chris Gilbert. He unexpectedly passed away on June 9, 2025, at the age of 20 years. Aiden was more than a son – he was a bright light in this world. Born with Angelman Syndrome, he faced many challenges in his young life, but those who had the joy of meeting him know that his smile could brighten any room. There was something about him that instantly made you feel joy, love, and a deep sense of protection. His spirit was pure, and his presence unforgettable. Aiden loved spending time snuggling with his parents, watching his favorite movies and TV shows, riding his bike, eating at McDonalds, and visiting the beach. He never met a person he didn’t like. He made lots of friends at his day habilitation program, all of which looked after him like a little brother. Aiden will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.
Aiden is survived by his parents, brother, Shawn, sister, Sydney, grandmother, Charlotte Spencer, aunt, Tina Spencer, uncle, Norman Gilbert and cousins, Shannon Brim, Alexandra Gilbert, Kimberlea Gilbert, Trenton Spencer, and James Gilbert. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Melvin and Edelgard Gilbert and Michael Spencer.
